the bridge barstool takes its shape from two upright panels standing close but not touching, joined only by a slim chrome footrest that runs between them like a bv beam. the panels rise from the floor through the seat and up into the backrest in one continuous line, so the leg and the back appear to be the same piece bent upright rather than built separately.
the seat sits recessed between the two panels, padded and rounded where the panels stay flat and architectural, giving the stool a soft centre inside a hard frame. upholstered in wabi sabi vol-1, the boucle-like texture softens the geometry without hiding it, while the chrome glossy footrest catches light along its length and keeps the base from feeling heavy.
from the front, the stool reads as a narrow doorway, two panels framing the seat like an entrance. from the side, the same panels collapse into a single thin plane, turning the stool almost linear. the bridge barstool holds this shift between structure and seat as its main idea.
